The Australian Indigenous Doctors Association says the Commonwealth's intervention in the Territory has put the chronic state of Aboriginal health on the national agenda.
The Association's Dr Mark Wenitong says it is vital the attention does not go away.
"We'd really like to see this bi-partisan support from all of the major parties, to say this is a hugely important priority for Australia and we've got to fix it if we're going to be a credible government," he said.
Dr Wenitong wants the Government to reveal its long-term plan for the Territory and says a 10-year commitment is needed
